While the bulk of his contemporaries were submitting to the "suits" to lip-synch while records played in the background, Rory never gave in. Everything he ever did on visual medium was played live. I believe that's called "character". And this guy turned down the Rolling Stones' offer for him to replace Mick Taylor. |

Love the intensity and feeling from Rory on this song. Just killer mandolin that cuts to the bone. |

3:50 just about the time he says bye bye, the lower mic for the mandolin falls off the stand and hits the floor, thats why he quickly picked the mandolin up high and continued with the vocal mic. That was one talented man, I have listened to since the early 70's and always will. |

And, to top off his frightening intensity and dedication on stage, Rory is so hot. |

I wish John Cusack would have played him in a movie at the right age. I think he really could have captured his spirit, and they look so much alike. |

I stayed in the guesthouse that he was born in. Olive O'Neills Ballyshannon Co Doengal...she remebered him as a toddler....that was when his dad was working at the power station nearby |

Unplugged Bruce Springsteen... Sorry if this seems like an insult to Rory, but I stumbled upon him by accident! If you consider that I believe that Bruce truly is the Boss, escpecially when unplugged, it really is a compliment! |
